Commodity Supplemental Food Program-CSFP

 
Montgomery & Menifee Counties
 
There are a designated number of permanent slots for each county as well as a waiting list. Slots as follows are subject to change.

 

  • Client information will be taken and placed on a waiting list until a slot in the program becomes available.
  • People moving from other counties in Kentucky, that where on the CSFP program in that county, will be placed 1st on the waiting list.
  • Clients who are on the pick up list will receive a box of Commodities monthly.
 
Who is eligible to receive assistance?
  • Applicants who are 60 years of age or older.
  •  And at or below 130% of the poverty level.
 
What types of information must customers provide?
  • Proof of current income for the previous month.
  • Picture ID or birth certificate showing age.
  • Proof that you are a resident of Montgomery, Rowan, or Menifee County. (Electric bill with name and address or a picture ID with current address).
 
How much assistance will be provided?
  • Once a client is placed in a slot they will receive Commodities once a month until they are deemed ineligible.
 
Distribution Dates:

Montgomery County is the 4th Monday generally each month

Menifee County is the 1st Wednesday generally of each month 

 
Reasons for Termination:
1. If someone misses picking up Commodities for two (2) consecutive months, they are then terminated from the permanent list and the first person on the waiting list moves up to the permanent list to take their place.
2. Participant becomes deceased
3. Participant voluntarily withdraws
 
Re-Certification:

Re-certification takes place twice a year for each participant.

Clients bring in proof of income to the CSFP representative to update when re-certifying.
