(These funds are not always available throughout the year.)
United Way funds are donations collected from caring employees of various local employers such as Summit Polymers, Nestle, Premier, etc. There must be a crisis/emergency situation evident (disconnection notice, etc.) Such needs that can be assisted could include: utility bills, rent, medicines and others as needed (verify with CSBG Director before completion of the application.)
Who is eligible to receive assistance?
- A resident of Bath, Menifee, Morgan or Rowan Counties.
- Clients at or below 200% of the poverty level.
- Must present evidence of a crisis/emergency situation.
What type of information must clients provide?
- Clients must provide proof of emergency/crisis situation (disconnection notice, etc.)
- proof of household income for the previous month
- social security numbers, birth dates & other pertain information for all household members
- proof of county residency [metered utility bill (natural gas, electric or propane in the name of a household member), driver’s license, confirmation letter from the county 911 coordinator]
How much assistance will be provided?
Up to $75 per application per SFY (if more is seen necessary, it must be approved by the CSBG Director.)
