God’s Shelter Funding Assistance
(Limited availability throughout the year)
Mt Sterling Ministerial Association and Gateway Community Action have established a collaborative partnership that will provide services to residents of Montgomery County. This money is referred to as God’s Shelter funds.
Who is eligible to receive assistance?
- Any resident or family in Montgomery County
- There are no income limitations
What type of information must customers provide?
- Recent copy of utility bill ( if utility assistance is requested)
- Recent copy of mortgage payment (if mortgage payment is requested)
- Landlord statement how much rent is due (if rental assistance is requested)
- Statement from pharmacy if paying for medication
- Proof of income (payroll subs, Social Security, SSI, unemployment benefits, retirement etc.)
How much assistance will be provided ?
- Customers may receive assistance 2 times in a 12 month period. They can receive
up to $75.00 and may receive more benefit depending on need and availability of funding.
